About the Role
Transfotech Academy is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Decision Scientist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will leverage data, machine learning, statistical modeling, and business analytics to drive strategic decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that support organizational growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Develop predictive models, forecasting solutions, and data-driven decision frameworks.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to solve business challenges.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Perform hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and model optimization.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support strategic planning through data-backed insights and performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, business intelligence, or decision science.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis libraries.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of big data technologies including Spark/PySpark.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and data automation workflows.
- Experience working with customer analytics, market forecasting, risk analytics, or operational optimization projects.
